 Any use of your information is either to provide you with a requested service or within our legitimate interests to manage our business and to enable us to comply with any legal or regulatory requirements.

  • To deliver product samples to your home address
  • To provide notifications and updates with regards to your delivery
  • Answer an enquiry that you have submitted via our online contact form
  • Process a sample order that you have submitted via the website
  • Seek your feedback on the products we have provided
  • Notify you of any changes to our products
  • Send you communications and updates relating to our products and services (if you have opted in to receive them)

4. Who has access to/handles your information

 In order for us to provide certain services, it may be necessary to share your personal information with third parties. Instances where we will have to disclose personal information include:

  • With the healthcare professional who has requested product samples on your behalf
  • Logistic firms such as DPD and Royal Mail to deliver your samples and update you on your delivery status

We will only transfer the information that is needed to provide the service. We do not, and will not, sell any of your personal data to any third party.

 This website uses third party providers such as Google Analytics to monitor how website content is used. These providers use “cookies”. These cookies are text files that contain small amounts of information which allow us to monitor how web users use the site. This enables us to identify issues and improve our customer journey which in turn allows us to continually improve the relevance and accessibility of the website content we provide.

5.1 Hotjar

 We use Hotjar in order to better understand our users’ needs and to optimise his service and experience. Hotjar is a technology service that helps us better understand our users’ experience (e.g. How much time they spend on which pages, which links they choose to click, what users do and don’t like etc). This enables us to build and maintain our service with user feedback. Hotjar uses cookies and other technologies to collect data on our users’ behaviour and their devices. This includes a device’s IP address (processed during your session and stored in a de-identified form), device screen size, device type, browser information, geographic location (country only) and the preferred language used to display our website. Hotjar stores this information on our behalf in a pseudonymized user profile. Hotjar is contractually forbidden to sell an of the data collected on our behalf.

6. Social Media

 Great Bear utilises Facebook, Linkedin, Twitter and YouTube social media platforms. When commenting, posting or tagging on our social media channels the user must accept the terms and conditions and privacy policies held by each respective platform (see section 6.2).

By engaging with social media websites you are putting your information in the public domain as we have no control or responsibility over any third party action. Take due care and attention to ensure you are not disclosing any personal or sensitive details via social media and instead look to contact us directly by phone or email.

We moderate user generated content on our social media platforms but are not always available to do so immediately. If you do have any complaints regarding third party content on our social media channels we shall investigate your complaint but must iterate that Great Bear is not responsible for any third party content that may appear on our channels.

6.1 How do we use your personal data through social media

Great Bear will utilise engagement on our social media channels (likes, comments, retweets and shares) as feedback to develop and improve our service. The information will not be shared but you should bear in mind that, depending on your privacy settings with the respected platform, others may be able to view your activity on our pages.

7. E-Newsletters

 In accordance with General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) we will send email newsletters to subscribers who have given us consent to receive updates from us,

Users can choose to subscribe for e-newsletters on our website at various touchpoints and is completely at the users discretion.

E-newsletters sent by Great Bear Healthcare Ltd contain cookies and other tracking technologies to enable us to evaluate the performance of the email campaign. Such tracked activity includes the opening of the e-newsletter and the clicking of links within it. This information will be used to improve future newsletter content.

We use Mailchimp to send our email updates. By agreeing to receive email updates from us, you acknowledge that the information you provide will be transferred to Mailchimp for processing in accordance with their privacy policy.

8. Recruitment

 If you apply for a job with Great Bear Healthcare we may keep your details on file for a reasonable amount of time in case we decide to contact you at a later date.

If an offer of employment is made and accepted, we will collect and hold personal information on you throughout the duration of your employment. This information will only be used in direct purposes pertinent to your employment. After your employment with Great Bear has ended, we will keep your information on file for a further six years before deleting it,

9. Samples

 The Great Bear Healthcare Ltd website has sample request forms that will allow you to obtain product samples from us. By using these forms you are agreeing that you are happy for Great Bear Healthcare Ltd to hold personal information about you on our database in order to supply you with the products and/or samples requested. We may contact you for feedback or research on the products supplied as part of Post Market Surveillance in compliance with MDR 2017/745.

10. Security Credentials

 Great Bear Healthcare Ltd  take security seriously. We use Secure Sockets Layer (SSL) certificates to verify our identity to your browser and to encrypt any data you provide to us.
