Great Bear Raise £715 for Ty Hafan

During National Walking Month in May, a team from Great Bear took it upon themselves to collectively walk the distance from Land’s End to John O’Groats with the aim of raising £300 for Tŷ Hafan; a paediatric palliative care charity in Wales.

So, how did the team get on with walking 1,407km over the course of the month?

They smashed it! Covering a total distance of 1,756.8km, not only did the team reach John O’Groats, they made their way back again! They also surpassed the £300 fundraising target raising a total of £715 for the charity.

Lucy Kettlety, Fundraising Co-Ordinator at Tŷ Hafan said: “Just wanted to congratulate you and colleagues on your brilliant fundraising efforts! Thank you once again for choosing to support Tŷ Hafan, we simply couldn’t do what we do without people like you! 💚”

Here are some pictures that were taken from those on the walking challenge; from the bluebell woods in South Wales, to Hadrian’s Wall to the jungle in Ghana!
