Great Bear hold first Study Day in conjunction with the High Weald, Lewes & Haven Bladder & Bowel Service.
On Tuesday 8th October, Great Bear held its inaugural Study Day for Care Home, Residential Home, and Community Healthcare Professionals in the Sussex area.
Located in the quaint Sussex village of Fletching, we held 2 sessions to educate Healthcare Professionals on the use of Sheaths, and other appliances, as an alternative to pads. Most importantly, we covered how to use these appliances correctly to ensure continued success and improved dignity and quality of life for the Patient.
Both sessions were a success and featured entertaining and informative presentations from the Bladder and Bowel team, our Territory Manager for the area, Vince Morse, and our Nightingale Nurse Specialist, Di Groom. An interactive, practical session also allowed for Healthcare Professionals to get “hands-on” with Sheaths with advice and guidance from ourselves and the Bladder and Bowel team.
With one delegate saying that they thought the session was “…informative and comprehensive with the right variance of subjects” and another saying it was “Brilliant and very informative” we are confident that Great Bear Study Days will be something that form a more regular occurrence.
